Incumbent Gov. Eric Holcomb cruises to reelection

Incumbent Gov. Eric Holcomb secured four more years in the Governor’s Mansion along Meridian Street. The race was called relatively early in the election night with Holcomb winning 57-percent of the vote in Indiana. Democratic challenger Dr. Woody Myers came up short with 30-percent and Libertarian Donald Rainwater took home 12-percent. In the race for president, Indiana was one of the first states to be called for President Donald Trump. As of midnight Wednesday morning Trump had secured victories in every county in Indiana except Marion, Tippecanoe, Monroe, and Lake Counties.
