Leaf removal will officially begin on November 16th. Every year there is a little confusion as to how it is done. The first 2 rounds will be on the street, the 3rd round will be in the alleys. The street department says they typically do more on the street than 2 rounds, but that they always wait to make that determination based on the many factors that make up leaves falling, how quickly, and when. All rounds will be done with routes driven in maintenance areas, not by call in pickup like limbs. Extra fallen leaves, or ones the street department may have missed, will be done on a call-in basis after the routes are done. The street department asks residents to not place leaves on the street or sidewalk.
