Herbert Wagler, 92, of Odon, Indiana passed away peacefully with loved ones at his side, on Friday, November 6, 2020 at his residence. He was born on February 15, 1928 in Loogootee, Indiana to Victor and Anna (Kemp) Wagler. Herbert married Rachel (Stoll) Wagler on September 12, 1948.
Herbert was a charter member of Bethel Mennonite Church and was a farmer.
Family left to cherish the memory of Herbert include: three sons, Eugene (Betty) Wagler, Kenny Wagler both of Odon, Stephen (Pam) Wagler of Evansville; one daughter, Darlene (Sam) Stoltzfus of Odon; daughter-in-law, Catherine Knepp; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Herbert was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Rachel; daughter, Joyce Ann; son, Jim Wagler; three brothers, Abraham, Andrew and Noah; two sisters, Mary Otto and Evelyn Stoll and great-grandson, Nathanial Stoltzfus.
Funeral services to honor the life of Herbert will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Bethel Mennonite Church in Odon with Carmen Detweiler and Lonnie Raber officiating. Herbert will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery in Odon.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 8 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM on Monday at the church.
Following CDC guidelines, face masks will be required and continue with social distancing please.
