Patty J. Althoff, 89, of Vincennes, passed away at 12:55 am Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born March 16, 1931 in Fritchton, Indiana to Ralph and Bessie (Gerkin) Wallace.
Patty worked in the classified department for the Vincennes Sun Commercial, Evansville Courier and Press, and served as secretary for her husband’s trucking company. A member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Patty was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School. Patty was loved by everyone and enjoyed yardwork, sewing, cooking, and raising her family.
Surviving are her children Dennis Althoff and his fiancé Sherri Pribble of Newburgh; Karen S. Althoff of Vincennes, and Jeffrey Althoff of Vincennes; her sister Mary LeCocq of Vincennes; a grandchild Tiffany Talbert; and her great grandchildren Gator Smith, Preston Roark, Gage Talbert, Paige Talbert, and Gerald Talbert.
Preceding her in death were her husband Leon Althoff whom she married on May 29, 1950 and preceded her on August 27, 2013, along with her brothers Jerry Wallace, Dallas Wallace, and Jack Wallace.
Private services will be held. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Patty Althoff.
