Dr. Kristina Box headed the states COVID update yesterday as Holcomb and first lady Janet are in quarantine. She stated during the briefing that Indiana is “On an exponential growth curve right now and we do not expect this to turn around quickly.” Several other health officials sat in on the meeting. Box said the state has received reports of exhausted doctors and nurses across the state as lack of hospital staff continues to be an issue. She also encouraged college students that are returning home for the holidays to quarantine for 14 days at home, wear a mask, and avoid large gatherings.
