Loogootee opened the boys basketball season at home last night with a 50-33 win over Crawford County at Jack Butcher Arena.
Of course tonight was scheduled to be the big showdown at the Hatchet House between two sectional champs, Washington and Barr Reeve. The game has been cancelled for this evening. All games and practices for Daviess County schools will remain closed and cancelled through December 7th.

In their first year of eligibility, Payton Manning, Charles Woodson, and Calvin Johnson lead the list of 25 semi finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2021. The list will be narrowed down to 15 in the coming weeks by the board. As many as five could be chosen for the new class in the days leading up to this year’s SuperBowl.
The Chicago White Sox will host the New York Yankees in the rescheduled Field of Dreams Game in Dyersville, Iowa on August 12th. The plan is tentative based on public health concerns next summer. The teams had been scheduled to play at the 8,000 seat temporary ballpark next to the site of the Field of Dreams movie site last August 13th.
