Adrian Matthew Atkinson, 30, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2020 at The James Cancer Center at Ohio State University. Adrian was born on September 12, 1990 in Evansville, IN the son of Matthew and Amie (Kinser) Atkinson. Adrian married Jennifer Hoppe on August 29, 2015.
Adrian graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School and Indiana University and was Vice-President of Software Engineering for JP Morgan Chase. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon, OH and enjoyed many outside activities. Adrian was an accomplished guitar player, 3-D modeler and snowboarder. He also enjoyed rock climbing, kayaking and skateboarding. The most important things to Adrian were his faith in God, his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Jen Hoppe of Mt. Vernon, OH; his parents, Matt and Amie Atkinson of Vincennes; sisters, Jessie Konynenbelt and her husband Ben of Orlando, FL, Mariah McPherson and her husband Matt of Greenwood, IN; brother, David Atkinson of Evansville; maternal grandfather, Richard Kinser of Hartford City, IN; paternal grandfather Glen Atkinson of Greenwood, IN; father-in-law, Jeff Hoppe of Holly, MI; and brother-in-law, Jonathan Hoppe of Holly, MI Adrian was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joanne Kinser, paternal grandmother, Marilyn Atkinson, and his mother-in-law, Rebecca Hoppe.
Friends may visit with Adrian’s family from 4-8 pm on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway and from 9 am until 10:30 am on Saturday at the funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2004 N. 2nd St., Vincennes, IN with Rev. Tony Ernst celebrating.
