The Washington Lady Hatchets guaranteed themselves at least a piece of their first ever PAC title with a 46-38 win over Gibson Southern at home last night.  Washington has one more game left in the regular season a road trip to South Spencer tomorrow.  The Lady Hatchets are now 15-1.

Boys Basketball yesterday:
The Washington Hatchets let one slip away on the road at Forest Park.  The Hatchets led 41-24 at the half, but fell flat in the second half falling to Forest Park 68-65.  Trey Reed had a break-out night with 35 points.  Washington drops to 4-7 and will celebrate homecoming Saturday night against Southridge.

Butler struggled from the field and fell 63-51 at UConn Tuesday night. The Bulldogs shot 34.5 percent, including 33 percent from three and the loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Dawgs.
The Indiana Pacers go on the road Wednesday to take on the Charlotte Hornets. Indiana recently split a two-game series with Toronto and is 10-7 overall. Malcolm Brogdon leads the Blue and Gold with nearly 23 points per game, including three 30 point games so far this season. The Hornets are 7-10 and are led by Brownsburg native and Butler alum Gordon Hayward. The former Celtic signed with Charlotte this past offseason and is averaging 24.1 points per game. The Pacers and Hornets tip off at 7 p.m. Eastern from Charlotte.

Andretti Autosport announced Tuesday that IndyCar fan favorite James Hinchcliffe will compete full-time for the team in 2021. Hinchcliffe will pilot the number 29 Honda, with primary sponsorship in 10 of 17 races from Indy-based tech company Genesys. The driver known as “The Mayor of Hinchtown” drove in six races for Andretti last season and was a part-time commentator for NBC after being released by Arrow McLaren SP following the 2019 season. The 34-year-old Canadian drove for Andretti from 2012 through 2014, including three wins in 2013.
