Vincennes Fire officials responded to an apartment fire around 3am this morning. When the call went out, authorities were warned that a few people were possibly trapped. Firefighters arrived on scene and saw smoke coming from the outside and two people trapped upstairs. A latter was used to rescue them. Two more people were recused from the ground floor of the apartment. Battalion Chief Brent Yochum stated in a press release that the two were taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. The names of those who were injured have not yet been released.
