Lawmakers approve coronavirus shield law

Indiana is one step closer to protecting businesses from coronavirus-related lawsuits. Lawmakers approved a coronavirus shield law, and it now heads to Governor Eric Holcomb’s desk. The shield law would protect businesses, schools, and healthcare facilities like nursing homes from people who caught the virus and want to go to court. The bill would be retroactive to last March. Governor Holcomb is expected to sign the bill into law.
