In the annual Seniors vs Faculty game last night, in one of the closest contests in recent years, the Faculty held on to keep their undefeated record in check topping this year’s seniors 74 to 67. A link to last night’s game is available on the WAMW Facebook page.
Tickets sales start today at Barr Reeve for the North Daviess 1A Sectional beginning Tuesday night. Each school will receive 800 tickets, and only single game tickets will be sold. Barr Reeve opens against Washington Catholic Tuesday night, while Orleans plays Shoals in game one. Sales begin today for players, parents, and guardians, siblings, cheerleaders, managers, and coaches. The gym will be cleared between each game, and you must have a ticket for each game to re-enter the gym. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door. Open sales at Barr Reeve in the high school office will begin on Monday.
Pre-sale tickets for the Washington 3A sectional are also available today in the high school athletic office. Again, only session tickets will be sold, for the Washington vs Sullivan game Tuesday night. Remaining tickets will also be available at the door on game night.
Carson Wentz is making impressions on his new team. Colts star Linebacker Darius Leonard says he hopes Wentz will be the final quarterback the Colts have to bring in. Leonard also spoke on the different styles of leadership each Quarterback he has played under brings.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager and coach Bruce Arians would be “elated” if they could get a deal done with quarterback Tom Brady to keep him in Tampa beyond his two-year contract, which will end after the 2021 season. Signing Brady to an extension is a possibility, but they declined to discuss the specifics of any conversations with Brady’s agent when asked Wednesday during the Bucs’ combine and free-agency Zoom conference.

The Hoosiers Basketball team fell on the road last night at Rutgers 74 to 63. IU is now 12 and 11, while Rutgers improved to 13 and 9. IU will take on Michigan State Saturday.
It had been nearly a quarter-century since Arkansas had played a ranked team at home, let alone beaten one there. No. 20 Arkansas ended both those droughts Wednesday night, beating sixth-ranked Alabama, 81-66.
The NBA has released their second half schedule for the 2020-21 season. The league only released a thirty-seven to thirty-eight game schedule in December in order to allow it to monitor the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and how it affected teams.
