Five people are behind bars after a drug bust in Martin County.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Department was asked to do a welfare check at a Loogootee residence on Friday.
Once officers arrived they smelled burnt marijuana at the residence.
Officers obtained a search warrant and found marijuana, paraphernalia, meth, and weapons at the residence. Five people were taken to the Martin County Jail.
They include, 35-year-old Alyssa Matheis, 27-year-old Taylor Kavanaugh, 21-year-old Evan Helms, 26-year-old Jared Knepp, and 27-year-old Delmar Knepp.
