A Princeton, Indiana teen faces attempted murder charges after a Wednesday afternoon incident.
According to a report from the Princeton Police Department, 18 year old Isaiah Jones suffered wounds to the side of his head and a gunshot to the middle of his chest. He is being treated for his wounds at an Evansville hospital. 18 year old Malachi Billings of Princeton has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, a level one felony carrying a potential penalty of 20 to 40 years in the State Prison.
According to a story in the Princeton Clarion Jones went to a home with a handful of money and bragged that he had robbed Billings. Jones was told to leave, but before he could leave, Billings appeard with a gun.
Witnesses told police that Billings tried to hit Jones with the gun and it discharged. Jones then attempted to leave in a vehicle with another individual and Billings fired a shot through the vehicle’s rear window striking Jones. The report says that Billings told Police he was robbed, was angry, and wanted to get his money back.
