An Edwardsport man led police on a Friday chase through Vincennes Friday.
At about 4:30-pm, Vincennes Police saw 37-year-old Clinton W. Morgan driving a pickup. Knowing he was a suspended driver, the officer attempted a traffic stop when Morgan fled. He was eventually caught after abandoning the vehicle and running away. A female passenger also ran away and is still at large. A k9 was used to try to track her down after a purse believed to belong to her was found. The search was suspended due to the heat.
Morgan is in the Knox County Jail charged with resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness and driving while suspended. Drugs were found and he’s also charged with possession of a controlled substance, meth and paraphernalia.
