Daviess County Health officer, Dr. Holsopple, met with the Daviess County Commissioners yesterday to discuss the upcoming changes announced by Governor Holcomb.
The Statewide mask mandate is set to become a mask advisory on April 6th.  Daviess County officials agreed unanimously to implement some county-wide changes.
Starting April 6th, county offices will not require masks for employees and visitors unless special circumstances arise.
Local business owners will be responsible for deciding if they will require masks to be worn by staff and/or patrons. Business owners will be responsible for enforcement of their own decisions.
As of yesterday, schools, community events, and social gatherings no longer need to submit COVID-19 mitigation plans to the Health Department while under blue status.
Nursing homes and assisted living facilities will follow the Indiana State Board of Health guidelines.
Hospitals and medical facilities will follow the guidance of their respective agencies.
