Washington had to extend Friday’s match against Gibson Southern all the way to Tuesday due to lightning. The Lady Hatchets had secured 2 points but needed one more. The girls were able to pick up two more points to seal the win with a score of 4-1. Immediately following the match Washington defeated South Knox 5-0. The Lady Hatchet Tennis team goes to 3-0 overall, 2-0 in the conference.
Trey Reed threw a one-hitter shut out on the road last night shutting out Mt Vernon 6 to nothing for a conference win for Hatchet Baseball. The Barr Reeve Vikings had four home runs and a seven run first inning enroute to a big 19 to 5 win over visiting Springs Valley in Montgomery. The Vikes would finish with 18 hits on the day.
