School Board hears details on WHS partnership with Crane

Washington’s School Board heard about an innovative program preparing Washington students for tomorrow’s jobs last night.
The program works in collaboration with scientists and engineers from NWSC Crane.
As part of the report, Washington High School Computer Science teacher Matt Riney told the Board members about the collaboration Washington students have with scientists at NSWC Crane.
This is currently the only high school program of this nature in the area.
Riney said that this week, representatives from the Crane’s Trusted Microelectronics Division have been at Washington HS to help lead the Computer Science classes in authentic career oriented projects…

The scientists from NSWC Crane will be at WHS all day today, working with students as they present their final projects.
