Washington’s Lena Dunn Elementary School received national recognition yesterday as a National Kids at Hope Model School.
Lena Dunn’s students, faculty, administrations, and community members have worked to change the school’s culture and the efforts have paid off.
Lena Dunn Principal, Jeanette Lobeck credited members of the community who helped.
She also gave several examples of how much the school has improved…
To start off the event, all Lena Dunn students gathered in the gym and repeated the Kids at Hope pledge, which reads “I am a Kid at Hope. I am talented, smart & capable of success. I have dreams for the future and I will climb to reach those goals & dreams everyday. All Children are Capable of Success, No Exceptions!”
