Area COVID-19 Update

The Daviess County Health Department released the latest COVID-19 numbers yesterday.
36 new cases of the virus have been confirmed in the county since Monday, May 3^rd.
The overall case count now stands at 2,979.
No additional deaths have been reported so that number remains at 99.
Nearly 12,400 residents have been tested to date.
Daviess County is currently in yellow status and is showing a 7-day positivity rate of 6.9%.
Pike County is also in yellow status and is showing a 7-day positivity rate of 5.6%.
Knox County is in Blue Status with a 7-day positivity rate of 3.6%.
Martin County is in Orange Status with a 7-day positivity rate of 14%.
