A Huntingburg couple has been arrested multiple drug charges.
Within the last several weeks, Narcotics Detectives with the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office received complaints of possible illegal drug activity at a Huntingburg residence.
Last Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office and the Huntingburg Police Department visited the home to investigate the complaint, and conduct a welfare check on a possible resident.
Upon arrival, police spoke to a female at the residence, identified as April Blackwood. While detectives were speaking with Blackwood, they found probable cause to obtain a search warrant of the residence.
During the investigation, William Blackwood, who was not present at the home when officers arrived, returned home.
A search of the property revealed approximately 10.5 grams of methamphetamine, a sheet of LSD, approximately 78.4 grams of marijuana, narcotic medications without a valid prescription, along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department thanked the public for submitting the tips to the department.
Both William and April Blackwood were arrested and face nine charges each.
