Two local state troopers have been recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
On Wednesday, two Indiana State Troopers were recognized by the Indiana chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) for excellence in getting drunk drivers off Indiana’s roads.
NHTSA data shows nearly 30 people die every day across the United States in drunk-driving crashes.
That averages to one preventable death every 50 minutes.
Trooper Noah Ewing of the Indiana State Police Jasper Post was recognized for his impressive efforts by removing 50 drunk drivers from local roads.
Trooper Teressa Bowling, also of the Jasper Post, was recognized for her part in removing 37 drunk drivers from Indiana’s roads.
Recognized troopers received a certificate for their achievements as well as a pin and a challenge coin.
