Sheriff Gary Allison has announced the retirement of a longtime deputy.
Deputy Troy Fuhs will be retiring from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
For approximately 17 years Troy has served the citizens of Daviess County.
Troy began his career with the department in 2005 as a Jailer, and was promoted to Patrol Deputy in 2006.
During his time as a Deputy, he served as a physical tactics instructor, a member of the SRU team, a member of the dive team, and he has held many certifications.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department thanked Fuhs for his many years of service yesterday in a Facebook post.
Officials report he will continue to volunteer as a firefighter in addition to taking on a new job with the County Highway Department.
Thank you for your service to the community and best of luck from WAMW.
