The Vincennes Police Chief is retiring.
Vincennes City officials have announced that Chief Bob Dunham has decided to retire effective July 13th.
He has served the last 18 months as Police Chief and had previously served as chief for 8 years under former Vincennes Mayor Mooney.
City officials have announced that Sergeant Jonathan C. Hillenbrand will be taking over the position.
Hillenbrand has been with the Vincennes Police Department for 18 years and holds a degree in Criminology from Indiana State University with a Minor in Business Administration.
He is a former detective, is a certified Firearms Instructor, and has served as the School Resource Officer for the last three years.
Hillenbrand lives in Vincennes with his wife and 2 daughters.
