Dorothy P. Davis, 78 passed away at 2:10 pm on June 7, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Dorothy was born on November 16, 1942 in Lawrence County, IL the daughter of John Melton, Sr. and Edna Fay (Lemons) Vennard.
Dorothy was retired, of the Catholic faith and attended Old Cathedral Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, NASCAR, the Hallmark Channel, and loved to travel, especially to the ocean in Florida. Most importantly though, she enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Jeanette Hess and her husband Larry of Vincennes, Ron Davis and his wife Charity of Vincennes, Glenda Crockett and her husband Aaron of Vincennes, Brenda Bloebaum and her husband Doug of Vincennes; her siblings, Beverly J. Hall of Vincennes, Mary Helen Hutton of Newburgh, John “Jack” Vennard Jr. and his wife Susie of Illinois, Linda C. Doll and her husband Richard of Vincennes, Maria Luttrell of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Jenifer Hess, Jordan Hess, Addison Blose, Corbin Adams, Jarrod Davis, Cameron Davis, Bristin Pyle, Tyler Crockett, Emily Horrall, Jake Bloebaum, her great grandchildren, Breanna Hess, Brayton Lockhart, Amelia Blose, Hutchison Blose, Sydney Carie, Griffin Carie, Gatlin Adams, Aaralyn Persampiere, Ellie Kate Crockett, Ella Horrall, Hattie Horrall, Dexter Bloebaum, and Delyla Bloebaum. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marcia F. Durall and her great grandson, J.J. Blose.
