The company was accused of violating consumer protection laws, by making auto loans accessible to disadvantaged borrowers who had a high probability of default.
More than 5,000 Hoosiers will receive a $261 check as part of the settlement. About 1,500 people in Indiana also had their loans waived or forgiven.
