The Daviess County Commissioners heard a 900 E project update at yesterday’s meeting.
The Highway Department reported that utilities are moving along well.
They reported REMC is about 80 percent done, water lines are close to 40% done, and that RTC has all of their lines in the ground. Officials also noted you can receive updates on the project by subscribing to the Daviess County newsletter.

At yesterday’s meeting the board also approved a contract with BIS in the amount of $800. BIS is a system used for remote county meetings.
The board also approved a 60-month leasing contract presented by the County Clerk’s Office for a postal machine.
In addition, the board approved a change to a quote for a metal detector at the Court House.
Lastly, the commissioners approved a Care’s Act request in the amount of $800 for the Daviess County Health Department for the purchase of syringes.
