The Daviess County Security Center recently underwent an inspection from the Indiana Department of Corrections.
The inspector described the facility as well managed and maintained.
The report noted that many of the jail programs were halted during the pandemic, but that they are now in the process of coming back online.
Among those were the work release and Perdue Extension programs.
The jail does currently offer an IODC substance abuse program as well as a recovery program known as Resisting addiction Through Recovery and Education (RARE).
In addition, the report noted that the average monthly jail population is around 144 inmates, with 120 of those being males and 24 of those females.
