Donors of the Women’s Fund of Daviess County, held by the Daviess County Community Foundation, have selected the fund’s nineteenth grant recipient.
Daviess County Historical Society is receiving $10,000 for their changes from the Ground Up project which will fund a portion of the facility’s rehabilitation project targeting improvements to the Museum’s ground floor.
A vote by mail format was used due to COVID-19 restrictions. 29 donors cast ballots by mail, with this project receiving the most votes.
The Women’s Fund grant will support construction a kitchenette, handicap-accessible restroom, additional exhibit areas, rooms for educational programs, and rooms for artifact processing and repair.
The Women’s Fund is supported through private donations.
