The man who killed Terre Haute police officer Greg Ferency Wednesday has been identified as 44-year-old Shane Meehan.
Court papers say Meehan threw a Molotov cocktail at the building.
When Ferency came outside, Meehan shot him.
Another detective shot Meehan, who then drove himself to a hospital, where he remains.
Meehan — a former employee of the federal prison in Terre Haute and a former candidate for Terre Haute mayor — is charged with murder.
