The Washington Community School Board met with a short agenda last night.
In regular business, the Board accepted resignation from WHS social studies teacher and varsity girls soccer coach, Cody Chapman, and elementary teacher, Anthony Spinner. The Board also approved the hiring of Jayden Barley as a high school math teacher and the hiring of Jordan Plahn as the high school social studies teacher.
The Board also approved hiring of several non-certificated employees and the extra curricular coaching positions for the next school year.
Superintendent, Dr. Dan Roach, reminded everyone that enrollment for the next school year begins next week.

Washington High School has also celebrated the class of 2021 with a billboard honoring the 20% plus of this year’s graduates who averaged a 3.9 on a 4.0 scale for their careers at WHS.
After the Board meeting WHS principal Steve Peterson said the Class of 2021 was an outstanding group.

Dual credit classes allow WHS students to earn college credits during their high school careers.
Earning these credits early allows students to save on tuition costs, and graduate from college earlier.
