Another former Dubois County Sheriff has received some recognition.
Donny Lampert served Dubois County from 1989-2019.
He began his law enforcement career as a Jail Officer in 1989 and in 1990, was sworn in as a Deputy.
As a deputy, he served for 22 years holding the titles of Night shift Sergeant, DARE instructor, and hostage negotiator.
He was also a member of the Emergency Response Team and the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing team.
In 2011, Donny Lampert was elected Sheriff where he served two terms up to 2019.
On behalf of the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office, he was presented with a formal retired identification and formally thanked for his 30 years of service.
