Joyce Myers 82, of Washington, went to her heavenly home in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 25, 2021.
Joyce was born in Vincennes on November 15, 1938 to the late Harley A. Wallace and Lucy Wallace McBride.
Joyce was a homemaker and devoted to her family, she loved; cooking, baking, camping, crocheting, reading, and doing puzzles. She was a 1956 graduate at Washington High School and a member of Bethany Christian Church. Joyce also was completely devoted to Camp Illiana and cherished her time out there.
Survivors include; her loving children, Deborah Tennis (J.R.), Sherri Steapleton (Mike Shields), Steve Myers (Missi), Tim Myers (Jennifer Spitzer); grandchildren, Mindi Marchand, Cory Milligan, Alison Stites, Casey Storms, Aimee Myers, Bradley Steapleton, Matthew Tennis, and Ann Skipworth; 7 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marsha Stuckey (David).
Joyce was preceded in death by; her parents; husband, Walter R. Myers; and a daughter, Cynthia Myers.
The family will be accepting mourners on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Gill Funeral Home with a service following at 1:00 P.M. to be officiated by Rev. Tom Watson. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Camp Illiana, 723 E. 450 S. Washington, IN 47501.
