A Ft. Branch man is facing several charges, after police say he tried to avoid arrest while at work.
On Friday, police say they went to a Princeton business where they found 43-year-old Eric Whitehead.
Whitehead had a felony warrant for Battery With Injury on a Child.
When police stopped him, Whitehead physically fought them and attempted to get away.
Police had to use a taser to take him into custody.
Whitehead was taken to the Gibson County Jail and charged with Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Law Enforcement, and the Level 5 Felony Warrant for Battery With Injury on a Child Less than 14 years of age.
He remains in custody on a $2,000 bond.
