Army training starts at the Crane Naval Base today.
Elements of U.S. Army Special Operations Command will be conducting routine military training from August 9th to the 21st.
The Soldiers will use training ammunition and other training devices to make the exercise as real as possible.
There will be periods of increased air traffic during hours of darkness, and the community can expect to experience an increase in noise associated with large-scale airborne operations.
Crane says this is routine military training conducted periodically to maintain a high level of readiness for the military personnel involved.
They say every measure to reduce the amount of noise will be taken and that they appreciate the support of the residents and surrounding community.
