Knox County continues to deal with a surge in COVID cases.
199 cases are currently active and the county is showing a 7-day positivity rate 14.8% on the state’s COVID map.
16 patients are hospitalized with COVID and 2 are on ventilators. 1 patient is vaccinated who is not in the intensive care unit. All other patients are unvaccinated.
Health Officials say Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis has significant numbers of children admitted with COVID.
Supplemental vaccination shots of Moderna and Pfizer have been approved for immunocompromised patients and are available at the Health Department.
Knox County remains in Orange Status.
