More grant money for Daviess County businesses

The Daviess County Commissioners met on Tuesday with a short agenda. The board approved an SDIC grant draw in the amount of $125,000. Program Manager Michelle Carrico stated that the grant money has already helped 23 Daviess County Businesses and 164 employees. Three additional businesses have been approved funds and the remaining grant money will distributed among businesses that have applied in the past.
The board also approved a credit card application for Adult Protective Services as well a contract with AT&T in the amount of $12,364.60. The contract with AT&T is for the removal of power lines at 210 North East 3rd Street. The power lines are being removed to make way for the new parking lot.
During the meeting the Commissioners also touched on the 911 Central Dispatch Center. The inter local agreement was voted down at Monday’s Washington City Council Meeting. The county has therefore tabled the matter until the City makes a decision at the next meeting.
