Donna Mae Thorne passed away from this life on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Vincennes, Indiana at the age of 72. She was born on Friday, May 6, 1949 in Vincennes, Indiana.
Those left to cherish her memories include daughter Katina Cornell, daughter Mindy Ritchie husband Chris, son Jon Chamness wife Krista, sister Lindy Santos, sister Wanda Rogers, brother Melvin Smith, brother David Smith, sister Betty Frisz, sister Sarah Avra, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, the children father John Chamness, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Anthony Thorne, father Eilas Smith, mother Dorothy Mae Walkins Smith, and one sister Mary Jane Brown.
Donna Mae Smith Thorne was born in Vincennes Indiana and worked for Good Samaritan Hospital for 32 years in the laundry department. She loved her family very much and grandchildren too! She loved her dog Diamond more than her own family. Watching Indiana University play basketball on a Saturday afternoon was one of her favorite things to watch on tv, she also loved to watch the Indianapolis Colts play, she would get excited every time they would make a touchdown! Donna was the life of the party she said what she mint, and mint what she said! She was straight up with her family and friends and the way she lived her life. During the week between 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm she would shut her phone off and watch Young and the Restless, she wouldn’t even answer the door at that time either. She will be deeply missed by all!
