The Barr-Reeve Vikings High School soccer team hosted an NE Dubois last night falling 4 to 2. Goals were scored by Kaden Buse and Dominic Wilson. The Vikings host their final game tomorrow at 5 pm against Bloomfield on Senior Night.   

The Washington Hatchet Boys Soccer team suffered a tough conference loss on the road at Gibson Southern 2-1.  All three goals were scored in the first half.  Washington drops to 5-5 on the year while the Titans improved to 9-1.  The Hatchets return to action tomorrow on coaches vs cancer night at the Sports Complex against Boonville.   

The Washington Catholic Lady Cardinals Soccer team shut out White River Valley 7-0 last night.

In Volleyball, the North Daviess Lady Cougars suffered a tough loss in five sets to Shakamak. The Cougars are now 4-13 on the season. 

Washington lost in straight sets to Evansville North at the Hatchet House 13-25, 18-25, 19-25.

The Barr-Reeve Viking Volleyball team lost at Jasper 3-1 with a 19-25, 27-25, 22-25 and 13-25.  With the loss the Vikings record dropped to 9-7.  The JV Vikings lost 2-1 to drop their record to 4-5.    

North Daviess boys tennis grabbed a win at Terre Haute South  3-2.  The Cougars have a tough showdown with Barr Reeve at home today. 

The Barr-Reeve tennis team won their match at home against White River Valley on Tuesday night 5-0 to go 12-1 on the season. 

The Lady Hatchet Golf team traveled to the Princeton Country club for a tri-meet with Princeton and Gibson Southern. Hatchets were 2nd with a team score of 211. Senior Kenli Barber lead the team with a 48. Channey Clark 50, Madi Dalton 55, Paige Byrd 58, and Maddie Jones 63 rounds out the Hatchet scores.  The Hatchets have one more home match this Thursday before heading to Sectional this Saturday at High Pointe Country Club in Bicknell. 

The St. Louis Cardinals scored three times in the top of the 11th and held off the New York Mets 7-6 at Citi Field. Javy Baez sent the game to extra innings with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth.  St. Louis is now one half game up on the Reds for the second National League wild card berth after Cincinnati fell 6-5 to last-place Pittsburgh. The Pirates jumped ahead 6-0 before the Reds staged a comeback that ultimately fell short.  The Chicago White Sox defeated the Los Angeles Angels 9-3 Tuesday night at Guaranteed Rate Field.
