Governor Eric Holcomb recently formed a Public Health Commission consisting of 12 members.
The commission was established in order to study the state’s health system and provide input and recommendations where needed.
One of those 12 members is a Washington resident.
Cara Veale will be serving on the board alongside other public health professionals, elected officials, and key health stakeholders.
Veale has been involved at Daviess Community Hospital was also named the CEO of the Indiana Rural Health Organization in June of last year.
The Commission is set to hold their first meeting tomorrow in Indianapolis.
