An Indiana State Representative has died.
Indiana House Republicans say 63-year-old Steve Davisson died Sunday from cancer.
He was elected last year for House District 73 which serves areas of Orange, Lawrence, Clark, Jackson and Harrison Counties.
Davisson was a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash Award and was a longtime pharmacist in Salem.
According to the Indy Star, Governor Holcomb described the late State Rep. as “a man of faith, family and community” and “a model citizen legislator.”
