A new speed limit is coming to a Knox County road.
The Knox County Commissioners have approved a new ordinance that will reduce the speed limit on Davis Road.
Officials say the action comes as complaints have been received from people who work in that area.
Currently, there is no posted signage, so motorists are required to travel at 55 miles per hour per state law.
The new speed limit will be 40 miles per hour.
Knox County Highway Crews began putting signage in the area earlier this week.
