Its October, and its time for local festivals. Hindostan Days in Martin County and Bloomfield’s Apple Festival are on tap for this weekend, and Odon’s Pumpkin Festival is set to return next Saturday, October 9th.
Hindostan Days, at one of Indiana’s most beautiful and storied locations kicks off at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Over 20 vendors will be on site offering everything from homemade food to handicrafted items. There will be acoustic music, and an opportunity for everyone to join the jam. There will also be all sorts of family activites. In Bloomfield the 13th annual Apple Car Festival is set for this weekend. The Apple Car Festval gets under way Saturday, on the Square in downtown Bloomfield. And next weekend, The Pumpkin Festival returns in downtown Odon after a being cancelled last year due to the pandemic. Organizers say the Pumpkin Festival will include all types of family fun, including train rides, pony rides, a corn hole tournament, face painting, inflatables, a masquerade contest for children…and a pumpkin rolling contest. Events in Odon get underway at 10:00 a.m. on October 9, with a charity run/walk.
