Perdue Farms, through its Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, has awarded an $18,000 grant to Youth First in Evansville.
The money will be used to continue Youth First’s mission of help fund school-based programs that work to improve the lives of young people and their families.
Youth First Social Workers serve schools in twelve Indiana counties including Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Martin, Morgan, Monroe, Orange, Perry, Pike, Posey, Vanderburgh and Warrick counties. The donation is part of the company’s “Delivering Hope to Our Neighbors®” initiative focused on improving quality of life and building strong communities.
The grant from the Perdue Foundation will help pay expenses such as information and technology, office supplies, mileage, printing, postage, program coordination, and program overhead. The funds will also support staff salaries and rent.
The Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, is the charitable giving arm of Perdue Farms, established in 1957 by company founder Arthur W. Perdue. It’s funded through the estates of Arthur W. Perdue and Frank Perdue.
