With more people working from home, scammers are going after people by using phony websites that promise jobs that let you work remotely and pay well.
Tim Mainscalo with the BBB of Central Indiana says if it seems like a company wants to hire you before doing an interview or offering a clear outline on how they’ll pay you, it’s probably a scam.
He also reminds you to check for legitimate websites, by making sure it says “https” in the URL. The “s” means it’s secure
