Luther O. Fuhrman, age 89, of Shoals, passed October 26, 2021, at the Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community in Jasper. He was born November 10, 1931, in Jasper, Indiana to Elmer P. and Margaret (Braun) Fuhrman.
Luther was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Korea. He had a business serving local farmers for many years and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Loogootee.
Survivors include one son, Randall Fuhrman of Loogootee; one daughter, Susan Fuhrman of Mitchell; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two sisters, Luetta Mercier of Bloomington, and Ruth Elkins of Anderson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Roger Fuhrman; two grandchildren, Matthew Fuhrman and Joey Hunt; one great granddaughter; one brother Emil Fuhrman; and one sister, Lovella Singer.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 30. 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Loogootee with Pastor Timothy Fleace officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals. Visitation will be 3:30 until 6:30 PM Friday at The Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals.
