A wanted Jasper man has been arrested following a police chase.
Early last week, police attempted to arrest 34-year-old Johnny Strotman on warrants out of Orange and Crawford Counties.
According to court documents, Strotman was staying at his father’s home. Police say once they arrived at the home, Strotman took off on a four-wheeler ignoring police.
He led police off road into a field where he jumped off the ATV and fled on foot. He then tossed his jacket at police which had two hypodermic needles inside the pockets.
A K-9 was then called in and helped police locate Strotman.
He was arrested and taken to the county jail without incident.
Strotman is charged with Resisting law enforcement with a motor vehicle, Possession of a hypodermic syringe, and Resisting law enforcement.
