Charges Added in Child Overdose Case

Prosecutors in Evansville are adding charges in last week’s overdose death of a three-year-old girl.
Six people are in jail in connection to Kamari Opperman’s death.
Police say she and at least three other children got ahold of some fentanyl pills and took them. Kamari is the only one who died.
Her mother, Makaylee Opperman, her step-mom, and her father are charged in the case.
Two roommates, and one of their friends are also charged.
Prosecutors filed murder charges against Makaylee Opperman, and gang-related charges against one of the roommates, as well as the friend, on Tuesday.
