Della “Marie” Witteried passed away from this life on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Bridgepointe Nursing Facility in Vincennes, Indiana at the age of 91. She was born on Wednesday, March 19, 1930 in Iona, Indiana to the union of Charles Fellows and Violet Courtney Fellows.
Those left to cherish her memories include: daughter Sandra DeLisle husband Wally, son Tom Boyer wife Lori, daughter Tina Land husband John, son Clem Witteried wife Jan, one sister Charlotte Fellows-Samsil, one brother Roger Fellows wife Linda, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Those preceded her in death include: father, Charles Fellows, mother Violet Courtney Fellows, three sisters Norma Sullivan, Ovella Davis, and Clara Ingle.
Marie Wittered is a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church in Vincennes, IN. She loved her family very much and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was very important to her. Marie also loved the game of BINGO, and traveling around Vincennes playing at all the BINGO games she could play in a week was her favorite thing to do. Sewing, puzzles, and collecting many different types of frogs were her hobbies and everywhere you looked in her house you would see frogs. Fresh cut flowers is her favorite. She will be deeply missed by all!
Friends may visit with Marie’s family from 5-8 pm on Friday, November 26, 2021 and from 9:00-9:50 am on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 803 Main Street, Vincennes, IN at 10:00 am, with Rev. Garrett Braun celebrating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Vincennes, IN under the direction of Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church in honor of Marie.
