Unemployment rates in the state and across the nation continue to trend downward.
Daviess, Martin, and Dubois are currently in the top 10 counties with the lowest unemployment rate in the state.
Dubois County checked in at 1.6% for the month of October.
Daviess and Martin Counties both checked in at 1.7%.
Gibson County is not far behind with an unemployment rate of 1.8% for October.
Knox County trails a little further down the list checking in at 2.1%
Finally, Pike County checked in at 2.4% for the month of October.
All of those are down significantly from last year.
Indiana’s unemployment rate for last month was at 2.5% down from last year’s 5.1%.
The national unemployment rate was also down from last year checking in at 4.3% down from last Octobers 6.6%.
