fatal-crash

A crash Tuesday morning in Sullivan County claimed the lives of a Sullivan woman and her 10-year-old daughter.
According to Indiana State Police, a pickup truck driven by 62-year-old Gary Ferree, of Sullivan, went through a stop sign on County Road 350 west.
Ferree’s pickup truck crashed into a 2008 Lincoln driven by 38-year-old Ashley Hedden.
Both vehicles went across the intersection and off the road. The pickup truck came to a stop and the Lincoln rolled onto the driver’s side, said State Police.
Hedden and her daughter, Grace, died before they could be taken to a hospital. A second daughter who was in the Lincoln was taken to Sullivan County Community Hospital for treatment.
Ferree was also taken to Sullivan County Community Hospital for medical treatment.
Police are still investigating but do not think alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
